My name is Robert Cooper Jr Certified Family Engagement Specialist, Millennial Trauma Expert, Author and Founder of Young Men Becoming Men, Inc.

I give young men and young ladies and families and staff the tools needed to succeed based on my own challenges, overcoming adversity and freeing myself from the bondage of childhood trauma and family wounds.

I’ll work with young men and young ladies and families and your staff to dig deep into the roots of their past so they can start rebuilding their lives from the ground up. Through Young Men Becoming Men, young men receive affirming mentorship, educational enrichment, and development workshops.

G.O.A.T, Greatness Over Adversity And Trauma. Is initiative is all about repairing you, to become the best version of yourself, by releasing emotional cancers that affect our thinking, world perception, and all barriers that negatively affect our relationships with others. Through G.O.A.T, you will begin to heal from the inside, and the work will be revealed outwardly.

Mentorship

One of the key benefits of mentorship is that it can help young men develop a sense of purpose and direction in their lives. By working with a mentor, they can set goals, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and create a plan for achieving their dreams. This can be especially important for young men who may not have a strong support system at home or in their community.

WEEK 1





Introducing the concept of Social Emotional Leadership and providing participants with an overview of the topics that will be covered throughout the duration of the session. We will also discuss the importance of emotional intelligence, ways to become a better leader, communication strategies, and methods to manage difficult emotions. We will also provide participants with the opportunity to practice their new skills by engaging in activities and role plays.



WEEK 2





Focus on developing your emotional intelligence while leading a team. We will explore the topics of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management, and responsible decision-making. You will leave the session with a deeper understanding of the role of social emotional leadership.



WEEK 3





Focus on understanding the power of self-regulation and emotional intelligence. We discuss how to tap into our own emotional intelligence and use it to identify and manage our own feelings, as well as the feelings of those around us.



WEEK 4





Focuses on developing effective communication skills. Explore the different types of communication, such as verbal, non-verbal, and written. We will discuss the importance of active listening, understanding body language, and other forms of communication.
